Tao Calligraphy Chinese Character Break Down for 45 Sacred Calligraphies — 21. Da Qian Bei

In this video Master Sha teaches us how to write the sacred phrase DA QIAN BEI (Greatest Humility) in Mandarin Chinese and also in Yi Bi Zi Style.

In Dao De Jing, Lao Zi said, “The highest kindness is just like water. Water is very kind to help everything, and does not argue or debate with anyone or anything. Water willingly stays in places that people do not like. Therefore, water is close to Tao.” Water is close to Tao because water is extremely humble. Humility can be summarized in one sentence: Humility uplifts and expands; ego lowers and reduces.

Follow along with Master Sha to learn the structure and components of each traditional Chinese character and how to translate and connect them when writing the same word in Yi Bi Zi (one-stroke) writing.
